This page explains how to get support for VisaSafe, what kinds of issues we can help with, and the
limitations of support for the App's current release. VisaSafe is developed and supported by an
individual developer, and support is provided on a best-effort basis.
Important: VisaSafe is an educational planning and organization tool. It is
not legal advice, immigration advice, emergency response, crisis counseling, or a substitute for
your school, government agency, embassy, or qualified professional support.
Please write in English if possible to help us respond more quickly.
2. What to include in your email
To help us investigate a problem, please include as much of the following as possible:
your device model (for example, iPhone 15 Pro or iPad Air),
your iOS or iPadOS version,
the App version installed on your device,
a short description of what happened,
the exact steps needed to reproduce the issue,
what you expected to happen instead, and
screenshots or screen recordings if helpful, with personal information redacted where possible.
3. Scope of support
We can generally help with technical issues related to the App's current implementation, such as:
problems opening or using the App on iPhone or iPad,
issues with local reminders, policy refresh behavior, or display problems,
problems adding or managing tasks, attachments, guides, checklists, mood check-ins, or weekly reports,
questions about data export, preview, sharing, or deletion controls inside the App,
problems with accessing the paywall, restoring purchases, or unlocking subscription features, and
issues opening the hosted Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, or support links.
4. What support does not cover
Support does not include the following:
legal, immigration, tax, visa, school policy, or compliance advice,
guarantees that a reminder, status indicator, forecast, or policy summary is correct for your situation,
guarantees that the App will prevent missed deadlines, violations, or losses,
custom consulting, document review, or case-by-case professional analysis,
phone support, video calls, real-time chat, or in-person support, and
support for third-party websites, Apple systems, or external services outside our reasonable control.
5. Quick fixes before you email
Force-quit the App and open it again.
Restart your iPhone or iPad.
Update iOS/iPadOS and install the latest App Store version of VisaSafe.
Check that your device has enough free storage.
If a policy update or external page is not loading, confirm that you have working Wi-Fi or cellular service.
If a reminder is missing, verify notification permission in system Settings for VisaSafe.
If a PDF export preview does not open, try again and then use the App's share fallback if offered.
6. App data is primarily stored on your device
VisaSafe is designed primarily as an on-device utility app in its current release. Most user-entered
information, such as visa dates, tasks, guide checklist progress, weekly report snapshots, and mood check-ins,
is stored locally on the device.
If you delete the App, reset local app data, or remove device storage, locally stored information may be lost according to iOS/iPadOS behavior.
We generally cannot recover locally stored records for you because VisaSafe does not currently operate a cloud account system for syncing user records.
If a feature is available to export your information, we recommend using it before deleting the App or erasing local data.
7. Attachments and photos
If you choose to attach images to tasks, those attachments are stored locally for the App's task features as designed.
If attachment-related issues occur, support may be limited by your device permissions, available storage, and Apple system behavior.
8. Weekly reports, status colors, reminders, and policy summaries
VisaSafe uses rule-based logic and the information you enter to generate status colors, timelines, advance alerts,
deadline forecasts, weekly reports, and mood trends. The App may also fetch and cache public policy summary content
from a hosted JSON feed.
These outputs are informational only and may not reflect your full legal, immigration, academic, or personal circumstances.
Policy summaries are short-form explanatory content and may be incomplete, delayed, or not applicable to your case.
If an item affects your real-world status or obligations, you must verify it with official or qualified sources.
9. Subscriptions, billing, refunds, and Apple
Optional paid features may be offered through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes subscription purchases, billing,
renewals, cancellations, and many purchase-related workflows.
For billing issues, refunds, renewal dates, or payment-method problems, please use Apple's own support and account tools.
Restore Purchases, where available in the App, depends on Apple's systems and may require the same Apple ID used for purchase.
We do not receive your full payment card number and cannot directly issue refunds outside Apple's applicable systems.
10. Notifications support
If reminders do not appear as expected, please check:
that VisaSafe has notification permission in iOS/iPadOS Settings,
that Focus modes, Scheduled Summary, or other system settings are not suppressing alerts,
that your local dates and time zone are correct, and
that the relevant tasks, profile dates, or reminder-triggering information still exist in the App.
We cannot guarantee the delivery, timing, or visibility of notifications because notification behavior may vary by
device state, operating system version, Focus mode, power conditions, and Apple's notification systems.
11. PDF export, preview, and sharing
VisaSafe may generate a readable PDF export of your local app data on-device. In the current implementation,
the App attempts to open a preview first and may then offer a share fallback if the preview cannot be opened.
Preview, printing, saving, and sharing depend partly on Apple system handlers and any destination apps or services you choose.
Once you share exported content to another app or service, that destination may process it under its own privacy and security rules.
Please review exported content carefully before sharing it, especially if it contains dates, status information, or personal planning details.
12. External links and hosted pages
The App may open external official links, hosted legal pages, support pages, or policy source pages. We are not
responsible for the availability, content, or privacy practices of third-party websites or services outside the App.
13. Response times and support availability
We aim to respond to reasonable technical support requests, but because VisaSafe is published by an individual
developer, we do not guarantee:
a specific response time,
support in every language,
24/7 availability,
compatibility with all future devices, iOS versions, or Apple platform changes, or
that every reported issue can or will be fixed.
14. Abuse, safety, and support limitations
We reserve the right to decline or stop responding to abusive, threatening, unlawful, spam, or bad-faith support
communications, or requests that seek services outside the App's intended purpose.
15. No account recovery or cloud restoration guarantee
Because VisaSafe's current release does not operate a general cloud account system for personal records, we cannot
guarantee recovery of locally stored data after deletion, device loss, device reset, app removal, storage cleanup,
or other device-side events.
Our decision not to enforce a particular support policy or not to respond to a specific issue immediately does not
waive any right, limitation, or protection available to us under law or under the App's Terms of Use.
18. Changes to this support page
We may update this support page from time to time to reflect product changes, contact changes, operational limits,
or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
