TeLog · Independent indie developer app
Terms of Use (EULA)
Effective: 8 July 2026 · Version 2.0.0 (replaces prior versions)
Welcome to TeLog. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and the independent individual developer who operates TeLog (“Operator” / “we”). By downloading, installing, signing in, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. TeLog’s compliance baseline is mainland China. Overseas App Store availability does not change governing law or these Terms unless mandatory local law says otherwise.
1. Parties & scope
- App: TeLog · Bundle ID
com.jchen.Telog - Operator: independent individual developer · service@telog.cn
- Designed for mainland China Tesla owners; may also be listed overseas
- Not Tesla official; no affiliation or endorsement
2. Service description
- Free / on-device: live status, emergency & lights, VIN/tires, recent drives/charges, basic stats, standard share, OTA history, TOU electricity settings, etc.
- Cloud membership: smart always-on logging & full history, deep dashboards, battery health/value, attribution & driving reports, Vehicle Passport, family share, expense, road-trip check-ins, geofence/parking, sync/backup, PDF/Excel, premium share, etc.
- Send Feedback via system Mail to the Operator.
First-run consent: On first launch the App shows a “Terms & Privacy” confirmation. You must tap “Accept & continue” to use the product; declining means you cannot use TeLog. Full rights, duties, and liability limits are in these online Terms and the Privacy Policy—not reduced by the short in-app summary.
Fees: Free features do not charge Operator-side fees. Cloud, if subscribed, is billed by Apple App Store at listed prices. Accepting the policies and using free features does not create any claim for fees, compensation, or damages against the Operator (independent indie developer), except non-excludable liability (see §11).
Features may change without reducing paid entitlements improperly; material changes will be reasonably notified. App + App Store listings control.
3. Data source & on-device default
- Vehicle data only via official Tesla authorization (OAuth / Fleet API)—no unofficial scraping.
- Default storage is on your device; optional cloud needs separate consent.
- Token exchange may use our HTTPS proxy; telemetry is fetched by the App directly in the default mode.
4. License & restrictions
We grant a personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable license to install and use the App on Apple-permitted devices for non-commercial personal vehicle archiving.
You may not: use unlawfully; reverse engineer or bypass subscription protections (except as mandatory law allows); disrupt Tesla/Apple/maps services; scrape/resell data commercially; impersonate Tesla/Operator; use outputs as professional appraisal/litigation evidence without credentials.
5. Your responsibilities
- Use Tesla and Apple accounts you own or are authorized to use.
- Protect devices and credentials; losses from your disclosure/device loss are yours (unless we are at fault).
- Connecting a vehicle confirms you may authorize Fleet API access for that vehicle.
- Read disclosures before cloud / family sharing; assess risks yourself.
- Vehicle commands must be used safely/lawfully; outcomes are your responsibility except where law says otherwise.
- Comply with Tesla, Apple, Amap, and other third-party terms.
6. Cloud membership
- Monthly
com.jchen.Telog.plus.monthly(about ¥18/mo) · Yearlycom.jchen.Telog.plus.yearly(about ¥198/yr) - 14-day trial for new users if shown by App Store
- Auto-renew unless cancelled ≥24h before period end in Apple ID → Subscriptions
- After expiry: free on-device features remain; Cloud-only features pause; local data is not deleted
- Apple Family Sharing (if enabled on the product) ≠ in-app family vehicle sharing
- Refunds only via Apple; Operator cannot refund directly
7. Intellectual property
App software/UI/docs and TeLog marks (except third-party assets) belong to the Operator or licensors. Tesla marks belong to their owners. Your authorized vehicle data is governed by Tesla’s terms and law; you retain rights to exports and your own inputs. You grant us a limited license to process data to provide the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Informational reports
Battery health/value, driving behavior, energy attribution, range estimates, etc. are informational only—not professional inspection, repair advice, insurance appraisal, litigation evidence, or transaction promises. Decisions are yours.
9. Privacy
Personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference. On-device default; optional cloud needs separate consent.
10. Termination
You may stop anytime (uninstall, wipe, cancel subscription). We may suspend/terminate for breach. Paid fees are non-refundable except via Apple. Survival: IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law.
11. Disclaimer & liability cap (indie developer)
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS, UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, ERROR-FREE PERFORMANCE, OR DATA ACCURACY.
- We are not liable for Tesla/Apple/maps API changes, network/device failure, force majeure, policy shifts, or delays/interruptions caused by mainland China distribution, filing, review, or regulatory approval timelines (except where liability cannot be limited).
- You accept the risk of local data loss if the device is lost/damaged without backup.
- No liability for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages.
- If you have only ever used the free tier and have never subscribed to Cloud membership (including paid conversion after a trial), then to the maximum extent permitted by law the Operator (independent indie developer) bears no liability to you (except liability that cannot be excluded, e.g. willful misconduct or gross negligence causing personal injury).
- Subscriber cap (where law requires a monetary limit, or other cases where liability may be limited): If you have subscribed or are subscribed to Cloud, aggregate liability is limited to the actual amount you have already paid Apple for that Cloud membership, and in any event not more than CNY 100. Example: if your monthly subscription payments total less than CNY 100, the cap equals that actual total—not CNY 100.
- Notice-and-cure first: Before claiming any remedy for bugs, outages, or inability to use features, you must first send a complete, reproducible report to service@telog.cn or via in-app Send Feedback. For “feature unusable” issues, the Operator has 15 business days (mainland China business days; public holidays extend the period) from a valid report to investigate and fix. Only if core usability is still not reasonably restored within that period, and liability still applies by law, does the monetary cap in this section apply. Force majeure, third-party outages, and delays required by mainland China approval/distribution/regulatory processes do not count toward that cure period and do not create Operator liability.
12. Indemnity
You will indemnify the Operator for reasonable losses arising from your breach, misuse, third-party IP claims caused by you, or illegal use—unless caused solely by the Operator’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.
13. Governing law
- Laws of mainland China (PRC), excluding conflict-of-laws rules.
- Negotiate in good faith; else sue in a court with jurisdiction over the Operator’s domicile.
- You may also complain to competent consumer or cyberspace authorities where available.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms with a new effective date. Material changes will be reasonably notified. Continued use means acceptance; otherwise stop and delete data.
15. Apple terms
- Agreement is between you and the Operator only—not Apple Inc.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance/support; contact service@telog.cn.
- To the maximum extent permitted, Apple has no warranty/product liability for the App.
- Apple is not responsible for IP infringement claims about the App; notify the Operator.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries entitled to enforce this EULA against you.
- You are not in an embargoed country / on a denied-party list and will comply with export laws.
- Subscriptions follow Apple Media Services Terms and App Store rules.
