Publisher. RentSure is published by an individual (sole) developer. Support is provided on a best-effort basis by email. This page is for technical and product support only — not legal, immigration, or tenancy advice.
1. How to contact us
- Email (primary): jianchen8863988@gmail.com
- Subject line: Start with
[RentSure] and a short topic (for example: [RentSure] Crash on listing import).
- Language: English or Chinese is fine.
2. What to include (helps us fix issues faster)
- App version (from the App Store listing or in-app About / settings if shown).
- Device model and iOS version (Settings → General → About).
- Steps to reproduce the problem, or a short screen recording if possible.
- If the issue involves listing preview / “fetch from link”, include the listing URL you used and what happened (do not send secrets, passwords, or full payment receipts unless we explicitly ask).
- Tip: some listing sites block automated access (for example, you may see a 403 error). In that case, try another source link, or manually fill the rent and other key fields, then continue.
- For crashes: note what you were doing right before the crash; if iOS shows a crash dialog, you may forward any anonymised summary you are comfortable sharing.
3. Response time
We aim to acknowledge serious or blocking issues within a few business days. Complex bugs or feature requests may take longer. We do not guarantee a specific turnaround time.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
- In‑App Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. The developer does not receive your full card number.
- Manage or cancel a subscription: on device, open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or see Apple’s guide: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039 (use your region’s article if different).
- Refund requests: are handled through Apple (Report a Problem / refund flow in your Apple ID purchase history), not by email to the developer, unless Apple’s process directs you otherwise.
5. Privacy, data export, and deletion
For privacy rights, data export, deletion, or questions about how data is handled, see the Privacy Policy (for example the URL you use on the App Store) and use the same contact email with [RentSure] Privacy in the subject if you prefer.
Export for troubleshooting: if you report a bug related to saved listings or your screening data, you may choose to export your data (JSON) from inside the App and attach it to your email. Please review the file first and remove anything you do not want to share.
6. Scope and limitations
- RentSure is a housing search assistance tool. Outputs depend on information you provide and on listing sources; results are not a guarantee of landlord or agent behaviour.
- We do not provide legal advice, contract review, or immigration advice.
- Some features may rely on developer‑operated services and third‑party websites. Availability may change due to third‑party restrictions.
7. Updates to this page
We may update this Technical Support page. The effective date and version at the top will change when material edits are made.
